Meet Miguel Paz

miguel paz

Miguel Paz enjoys working on cars, going to car shows, and visiting the race track, so his role as a service advisor at Holler Honda is a natural fit.

Since he was 15, Miguel has always owned and driven Hondas. His first car was a red 1988 Honda CR-X. He currently owns three Honda vehicles, two 1999 Honda Civics and a black 2018 Honda Civic Type R. During his free time, he can often be found working on the 1999 Honda Civics.

Miguel has worked in the automotive industry for 10 years, starting at Holler Honda just over 4 years ago. At this company, he likes every single coworker and gets along with everyone. He never has to drag himself into work because he is always looking forward to what the next day brings.

Miguel is originally from Puerto Rico, where he served in the Navy. This brought him to Jacksonville, and he ultimately decided to stay in Florida. Miguel’s proudest moment is when he received a Purple Heart. A woman accidentally drove her 1989 Astro van into a river and ended up submerged. Miguel happened to be on watch in the area, and he was able to run into the water, pull her out, and save her life.

During his spare time, Miguel enjoys cooking and spending time with his family. This year has cut down some of the family time, and Miguel looks forward to seeing more of his family in the future. Before starting on his current career path, Miguel went to school for culinary arts, quickly finding that it was not the right fit for him.

Fortunately, Miguel found the automotive business. As a service advisor, he finds that building relationships with customers is the most important part of the job. Making sure customers trust you when they come in for maintenance makes it more likely they will come to see you when they have problems. Miguel treats his customers like friends and family, which has helped him build a solid customer base and thrive in his career.
