Meet Ivy Yagual

ivy yagual

Ivy Yagual, service advisor at Holler Honda, puts her family first and feels like her company does, too.

When Ivy was looking to re-enter the workforce, her father Jesse encouraged her to try a new career at Holler-Classic, the company where he worked. Ivy went for her first role as a cashier at Classic Mazda. As someone starting a family and a job at the same time, Ivy was thankful to be working at a family-oriented company. Ivy always felt comfortable asking her managers for flexibility in her schedule when she needed to take care of family matters.

After one year as a cashier and nine years a warranty admin, she received a promotion this year to the service advisor role at Holler Honda. Ivy believes being well-rounded is the best way to grow into a career, especially in the automotive business. The first step, she says, is to give it a try.

“You never know if you can be good at something unless you try,” Ivy said.

Looking back on everything she has done, Ivy is proudest of raising compassionate sons. Her oldest graduated Cum Laude with a full scholarship to the University of Florida, and her middle son is following in his footsteps. When she goes out, she always receives compliments on her sons’ behavior. In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis, going fishing, and going to the beach with her family. She and her family members are also theme park fans.

Walt Disney World is Ivy’s happy place. Ivy renews her annual pass to the most magical place on earth every year. Ivy enjoys bringing her family to the parks and collecting Disney memorabilia. In her home, there is a cabinet shelf full of Disney mugs and a bulletin board full of Disney pins.

Now that Ivy’s sons are grown up, she plans to do more traveling and become mortgage and debt-free. Being a full time mom with a full time job has made traveling difficult. Ivy grew up in the Philippines and moved to Florida with her family when she was 14, and she looks forward to seeing more of the world.
